Let's do fall!

It's true...2013 was not my blogging year! I really want to get back into this, and have made it one of my resolutions for 2014. So much is happening in the lives of my babies and I have been a huge slacker in documenting online for all of my family to see! So sorry.  So here's a brief recap on FALL!
Maria had her very first day of preschool! She has done great with school. She has not once cried leaving the car...big brother walks her to her classroom everyday!
Greg loves school this year! He is learning a lot to and has really done great with progress in his fine motor skill areas!
Day trip with Daddy to go ride the ATV!
Urgent care visit...door corner into Greg's face left him with 5 stitches!
He was a trooper though and his face has healed nicely!
Greg turned 4! We had a birthday party at the indoor aquatic center! Spiderman was our theme!
 Missing an friend...
We found out baby 3 is going to be a BOY! Joshua Kolbe!
A day trip to the pumpkin patch, corn maze, and Helen with some great friends!
Evie and Maria on the hayride!
Mommy and her little pumpkin face!
We took the kids for their first game at Jordan Hare! What a wonderful day it was to share all of the Auburn traditions with my little loves!
Campus is big, so dad got a great workout in!
 WAR EAGLE!
They believe in Auburn and LOVE it!
 Family shot at the game!
 Pumpkin carving for Halloween!

Trip to my high school alma mater's game!
Maria has her first all girl birthday party at the Cabbage Patch to celebrate Zoe turning 4!
Holding the newborn Cabbage Patch doll!
 Maria and her new baby!
Dad and Greg took the ATV out while we were at the Cabbage Patch
We had a record breaking Confirmation retreat at Covecrest!
 Celebrating Thanksgiving at school!
Thanksgiving round 2 at Prince of Peace
Great Grandma and Great Pap visited for Thanksgiving!
Jonathan and Heather surprised us all for Thanksgiving!
 We miss them!
 Celebrating Advent!
Maria made us an Advent wreath
 Santa Claus visits Grammy's house!
Maria does not cry for the first time on Santa's lap...third year's a charm!
And now we are preparing for the celebration of the Incarnation of our Lord!

That sums up the Fall for us...very briefly! Working on blogging more...bring it 2014! :-)

Greg is 4!!

BIRTH DAY!
Last night, I got home from Saint Brigid and headed up the stairs to find my little boy still awake. I walked into his room and was greeted with the sweetest voice, "Mommy...I love you so much." I laid down in his bed with him for a moment, and as I got up to leave, my sweet little Greg jumped into my arms. "Hold me, and let's sing the Hail Mary." (Greg has perfected even the tiniest extension of staying up a moment later...he knows my heart, oh so well!)

Baptismal Day

As I held my not so little boy, I gently rocked him and we sang. As we sang, I could not help but stare at the giant Aubie painted on his wall by Daddy while this sweet boy had yet to make his appearance in this world. I was brought back to anxiously awaiting his arrival, and dreaming of what it would be like to be a Mommy. I remembered so many nights just standing in his empty room staring at the same wall, and many more nights checking on my little baby boy as he slept in his crib. Last night I stared at the same wall, realizing all of the changes in his room...the crib that once held my first born had been replaced with a full sized bed, soft baby toys have been replaced with dragons, cars, planes, and whatever else Greg sneaks into his bed from downstairs, the changing table has been replaced with a train table, and my little baby boy has grown into a handsome, brave, and curious little preschooler.

1st Birthday
Today, Greg is FOUR! I don't event know how time has gone by so fast. Greg is one of the most curious, talkative people I know! He has a big heart, and loves life. He teaches me more and more each day about patience, but also about having fun! He is all boy and loves anything and everything to do with the outside, making a mess, being dirty, jumping, running, and flying! He has a very sweet disposition and shows his affection often with quick cuddles and kind words. He loves his sister so much. He likes to pick on Maria, but often refers to himself as "Maria's saver." He has an imagination like no other, and knack for engaging and entertaining those around him!

2nd Birthday
Greg, I am so proud of you! You are the most wonderful little boy and such a good big brother. I am so glad that God chose me to be your Mommy. You add so much color to my life. I love watching your expressive face light up when you try new things or learn something for the first time. You are a blessing to me, and will always hold a special place in my heart, as you were the first one to call me Mommy. I love you to pieces, my sweet pumpkin face!

Catch up...

We are busy...really busy...

But let's catch up on some things that have been happening...
It's summertime in Ga...and Greg and Maria love being outside!
Mother's Day at Greg's school was so special...I can't believe how fast he is growing!
Speaking of growing...last day of his first year of pre-school! Seriously, where is the time going?
And this little girl...she's potty trained!! We started two weeks ago...and she's got it!! Praise the Lord!! She was so much easier than Greg!
And a big girl bed!! I don't have a baby anymore!
As many of you know...I really get into Church feast days...Pentecost was so much fun with the kids! We sang happy birthday to the Catholic Church and made cupcakes with tongues of fire...or strawberries on top!
The faith of my own children inspire me...I love how comfortable they are at Mass and how they know the clergy and they know the different faces of Jesus and Mary! So beautiful...
Brian was ordained a transitional DEACON this past weekend! Please pray for him as he continues on his journey to be ordained a priest next summer! Little Greg just loves "my Brian."
Family shot with the newly ordained Deacon Brian!
Pool time!! He loves the water!
Little Miss hung around the stairs most of the time!
Lunch out with Seminarian Brian!! Please pray for him as he discerns his vocation to the priesthood while attending Seminary!!

And now you're caught up!! :-) Hoping to be better about posting more regularly!
