The biggest event that I had not blogged about yet was no doubt our trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras! This is probably one of my favorite trips we do each year. The kids have a blast, and for 3 days I pretend I am part Cajun and throw all planning out the window and let impulse take over!
Sorry for the OBSCENE amount of pictures...
Getting ready to take off!!
Mandi and James traveled down with us!
No trip to New Orleans is complete without a pitstop in Auburn! (Look how sad Toomer's Corner is...)We stopped there for lunch on the way down, and dinner on the way back!
Love! They are such a good travelers! PRAISE GOD!
Upon arriving in New Orleans...Greg loved this glass so much, he bought it to take home!
Cheers! Greg really loved Mrs. Elizabeth...which is weird he called her that because we all call her Lizzy!
Precious!
After dinner when we arrived, we swung by Cafe du Monde for beignets! We then took our goodies to the lake front and let the kids play on the playground while the Koerners, Whittakers, and Boudreauxs got caught up!
Day 2: We pretty much spent ALL day on the neutral grounds tailgating! The parade got to us around 5, and the kids had a BLAST! This is a picture of Greg having his first crawfish!
YUM!
Greg and Patrick had fun fighting with their crawfish!

I just love this weekend! We ended the night with another visit to Cafe du Monde, and drinks out at an ale house! The best part is the morning on Sunday...Mass together as a group and lunch out before everyone parts ways! So incredibly blessed by these friends!
